Brown’s Borrowing – an alternative opinion

In The Guardian, Will Hutton provides some balance to the overall negative media response to the government’s fiscal policies. Thanks to Joe Riches, Chair of York Young Labour for pointing this out – my last post on Brown’s economic policies wasn’t well received by some Labour party members. I can only aggregate what’s available, and still the vast majority of commentators (right or wrong) are overwhelmingly negative about the current level of national debt.

PS If you’re new to this blog, here are my five favourite posts (in no particular order):

  1. What do BNP MEPs mean?
  2. The Spectre of Ignorance
  3. So what if I want to wear the Turin Shroud?
  4. Political Review … in 6 Minutes Flat (me on the radio)
  5. Parliamentary Sketch (6th June – the latest one is on ice and ready to go)
