It’s the silly season so I’m taking a short break. Be back soon, see you then.
For coverage of Iran, I find the New York Times’ The Lede blog have it sewn up.
Oh, and there’s no way Peter Mandelson will become Prime Minister, despite rather silly rumours. He’s unpopular in the country, even if he’s fêted in the Cabinet. I also don’t think being cynically parachuted into a safe seat is the ideal starting point for a general election campaign. Remember Sir Alec Douglas-Home?
Come back shortly, I won’t be away for too long (promise).
Ps. Delighted to discover that JCPR’s been linked to by the online letters section of The Guardian: click on “Denis MacShane’s” and it’ll send you straight back to this blog.
