About me

Hi, I’m Joshua Chambers. Thanks for visiting my blog, where I post occasional snippets and thoughts.

I’m the Deputy and Online Editor of Civil Service World, the newspaper for the senior civil service. It’s my job to break exclusive Whitehall news stories, write interviews with senior civil servants and ministers, and also write in-depth features about areas of public policy or administration. You can read my work here.

Prior to this, I was on the editorial team at PoliticsHome, working as a duty editor managing teams of staff during the 2010 general election. I studied History and Politics at the University of York and won a scholarship to Columbia University for a year. I also dabbled in student journalism, winning an award for an interview with a cabinet minister about the torture of Binyam Mohamed, and subsequently being dubbed by the BBC Daily Politics Show as a journalist to watch from the next generation.
